Espanol.. En Dublin?

I signed up to take a spanish class while I'm here! I'm really stinkin excited for it too. I can't wait to take a spanish class and NOT have it factor into my GPA, hopefully it will take some of the stress off, and I'll enjoy it more. Here are a few of my motivations:

1. In high school I wanted to learn spanish so very badly. It was my minor, until the spanish department at TCU crushed my soul.

2. It's the 2nd or 3rd (depending on native or non native) most spoken language in the world. That's a huge amount of the population of the world that I can't communicate with!

3. The frenchi boys and Andrea have inspired me. If they can learn English/French I can do Spanish, right? Yea..

4. I feel like an American fool because I only speak one language.

5. I want my kids to be bilingual someday. (this will also be accomplished by marrying some european man someday). So, trilingual. How badass will my (adopted of course) kids be!

6. Jobs like 2nd languages.

7. I'd like to understand the lyrics of the spanish songs I listen to.

8. Latino men are hot. I said it. And you can't deny it. But not all of them of course!

9. I just feel like it'd be a huge accomplishment. And, since I wanted to achieve it, I can still try.

10. I need to meet non IES students! Hopefully some Dubliners, and maybe some Europeans!

11. Isn't 10 enough for you! Gosh, selfish..



Also, the teacher will be from spain. Which is cool, because in College I had some Austrain teaching me spanish. That's just dumb. I can't understand your accent when you're speaking english dude, how will I understand your spanish. Also, I made a comment about unibrows being unattractive during class, he had one. And pointed out that he had one. I was embarrased, yet more embarassed for him. If you know you've got one, pluck those suckers! And the mullet can go too.
