Class = done.

www.photobucket.com search theleaningkar for my pics.

I am officially DONE with classes for the semester! Holy Cow. We had a re-entry workshop today, I'm not sure it was helpful. They just told us it would be weird to adjust, but didn't really give us any pointers, other than don't bore people with 3 months worth of experiences. Got it. And then we ate pizza with corn on it. MmmDelicious. Stop judging it. I know you are. But, all this meant that I'm coming home soon. And, for some reason I'm very very apprehensive about this. I think about Phoenix and Texas and I get nervous.

Also, yesterday we had a super long class and during break our professor bought us ice cream! And Baileys! And then, we went to a pub for a drink with our professor. So great. I love professors who actually want to get to know students and are willing to talk to us about who they are and how they got where they are.

And also, I was watching Becker just now, you know the blind black guy? He was just talking about black people always being the token blahblahlbah.. you know how it goes. But, I was wondering, how does he know the difference between black and white, and I wonder if blind people can tell the difference. I wonder if you asked a blind person if color was more than skin deep, what would they say? And are they aware of their color or just their culture. I guess they just realize that cultures are different, not skin color. Anyway, I was just wondering if he embraced his blackness. Could he? Or is it just the seeing that can embrace that?

Barb and I lived in the UK from 1999-2005. So, we can appreciate your concerns about re-entry. It was more difficult than I thought it would be. We made many friends thru our work and in our Eton village. We're grateful to be able to keep in touch with them via e-mail and frequent visits.

BTW, re. corn on pizza. Brits love to put it on most everything. I never liked it in salads, sandwiches and especially pizza.
