So I'm going to try to stick with this posting on Wednesday thing. I'm not sure what I'll tell you about every week, but hopefully I'll eventually work it out.
I have always heard that you marry someone like your father. Now, every time I've heard that I've laughed and thought: Why would I do that? Marrying a overweight, old, gassy man just doesn't seem like my aspiration. Now I know there's a whole lot of pshyo-babble that goes along with this saying. You know, you're trying to correct your past, you're comfortable in these behaviours everything I read makes it sound so bad.
Well besides being fat, and old not to mention more than a little grumpy I totally would marry someone like my old man.
1. He's a Smart Dude.
My Dad may not be a Harvard grad or a rocket scientist or anything but the man is smart in so many other things. Nay, I would prefer the word wise as I write this. In all sorts of areas. He runs his own company, does stockmarket things, and loads of other things that impress me.
2. He's Old
Really though, who would want to raise me in their 50's? I'm sort of a brat. The man is 70something and still working, walking, talking (sometimes too much). I don't want a husband who's going to die off on me early since everyone knows us women are going to live longer and be more awesome.
3. He likes to Eat
I mean, I don't know who doesn't like to eat, but my dad likes to take me out and buy me nice meals (or sometimes when he's feeling really fancy Arby's, only for special occasions though).
4. He's a Giver
He spoiles me rotten. So, future hubby, please do the same. Kthanks.
5. He's a Giver
It's not just me who's on the recieving end. He's very generous, and although he'd probably not admit it he commits random acts of kindess ( like leaving a HUGE tip for a pregnant waitress, or giving a guy his watch because he really really loved it).
All in all, I think I'll be fine if I marry a guy like my dad. In fact, I think I would be damned lucky.

I'm glad you are back blogging!!
I can honestly see this being into an expanded chapter in a book. Have you thought of that?
