Luas (LATE NIGHT!!!)

The girls

We had another lovely conversation on the (LATE NIGHT!!!) Luas last night. Her name was Katie or something and she loves Americans, and America. She's roadtriped through California and this summer shes driving through the south. Why? Well, none of us could figure it out, but she was excited to see some 'real hillbillies' 'With missing teeth' I wanted to point out to her that the country she lives in has some nasty teeth, but being surrounded by people with those gross teeth, I chose not to. Though, Katie did go off on how gross Irish boys are. I would agree.

After we walked around because we couldn't get into any pubs because they're all 21's only (I was golden). And after fighting with a few bouncers who told us it's always been 21's but the youngest of us is 19 and we've been there multiple times, and Katherine telling them how rich her daddy is (ugh.), and the bouncers just being asses we ended up at the good ole PorterHouse. And by the way the place we tried to get into was 1. empty 2. lame 3. EMPTY AND LAME. And they let a bunch of skinny boys who looked 12 in. This is the thing about Irish v American bars. If you're a girl you can probably get into an American bar. Here, if you don't have ID or are underage (not under drinking age mind you, which is 18) you can't get in, so, I think those pubs were full of boys. Sausage fest. Have fun together boys. And I just think it's stupid you have to be 3 years over drinking age to get into so many places. Ugh. So frustrating.
The lame pub

We did find some good dancing partners last night. It's always nice to have boys around who don't creep you out so when the creepy boys do come along, you have some one to grab you and start dancing. Insulation. It's a good thing. One of them just stood there and we could not get him to dance. The last song before we left was Mrs. Houston's 'I want to dance with somebody' let me tell you that boy came alive. He knew all the words and even shook those hips a bit. I envisioned him as a regular dancing queen the remainder of the night.

Dancing Queens

AND the Luas (the tram) didn't stop at 12:30 as per usual but went until late! So we didn't have to pay the 21 euro taxi fare! WOoooO! Such a fun night. Though, I am a bad student and have 6 papers due this week. But, I'd rather live up my last week in Dublin, and work on papers all day/night tonight then have missed last night.
